I was amazed to recently find out OE had been shortlisted in the best One Off Event category at the 2015 Saboteur Awards. We were nominated for the first outing of OE, at 47/49 Tanner Street in January. Last Sunday we went do to the awards ceremony in London for the result. The genuinely life changing 52 project, run by Jo Bell, deservedly took home the award. We got the runners up spot!!! We are still in slight shock.

The Tanner Street event was a sell out, showcasing paintings (by Tom de Freston), songs (by Max Barton) and poems by (Kiran Millwood Hargrave) from the series. The performance of the songs and poems was supported by Chris Barton, Nick Tigg and Ensemble Perpetuo. The evening was produced by Chris Edis and curated by Tom de Freston.

The project is a collaboration between Tom de Freston, Kiran Millwood Hargrave and Max Barton and is now being developed into a graphic fiction, a short film and future live incarnations (exhibitions/performances).

The film of the evening, above, is by Mark Jones.
